This women’s history tour Vienna experience flips that script. Walking with your guide **Konstanze**, author of the tour, you’ll follow the footsteps of the female scientists, artists, hosts, and activists who shaped the city just as much, even though their stories rarely make it into the standard guidebooks. Over two hours, including a stop at the University of Vienna, you’ll meet the women behind some of the city’s most overlooked achievements: physicist **Marietta Blau**, who discovered emulsion stars during nuclear reactions and was overlooked for the Nobel Prize in Physics; **Berta von Zuckerkandl**, whose salon became a meeting point for Vienna’s intellectuals and artists; and **Emilie Flöge**, who helped free women from the corset with her reform dress designs. The tour also looks at how public art, including sculptures by Ulrike Truger, continues to reckon with Vienna’s history of deportation and remembrance. ### Why Take This Vienna Women’s History Walk - Discover the feminism history of Austria through real places and real names - Explore the paths that brave, pioneering women of Vienna actually walked - Understand why the fight for equal rights and emancipation mattered here specifically - See familiar Vienna streets and squares from a perspective most tours skip entirely Whether you’re planning a trip around women’s history, travelling with a group interested in social history, or simply want a Vienna city walk with more substance than souvenir photos, this tour with Konstanze is built to deliver exactly that. ## Highlights - Discover the feminism history of Austria - Explore paths of brave women of Vienna - Learn about importance of feminism - Discover Vienna in another way ## What's included ### Included - Visit to University of Vienna - 2 hours walk with Konstanze, author of the tour ### Optional - Food and drinks - Tip for the guide ## Meeting point **Helmut Zilk-Platz, 1010 Vienna** When you arrive at the meeting point, watch out for a yellow PRIME TOURS umbrella.
