This tour is for your group only — no fixed schedule, no shared bus, just you, a certified local guide, and one of Austria’s most scenic river valleys. We start in Vienna, drive out to the baroque abbey of Melk, cross the Danube by ferry to Spitz, taste our way through a local winery, and finish with a relaxed e-bike ride into Krems before heading back home. ## Your Private Wachau Day, Step by Step - **Vienna pickup** — your guide picks up your group at your hotel at the agreed time. - **Melk** — visit the magnificent Melk Abbey, perched above the Danube and one of Austria’s most important baroque sites. - **Danube ferry to Spitz** — cross the river the traditional way, with sweeping views over the terraced vineyards. - **Dürnstein** — stroll through this picture-postcard wine village, known for its blue-topped abbey church and the castle ruins where Richard the Lionheart was once held captive. - **Wine tasting** — sample a selection of the Wachau’s celebrated Grüner Veltliner and Riesling wines at a local winery along the way. - **E-bike to Krems** — swap the car for an e-bike and ride the scenic Danube path from Dürnstein into Krems at your own pace. - **Return to Vienna** — we drive you back to your hotel. ## Good to Know This is a private experience for up to 6 people at a flat group rate of €2,700 — nobody else joins your group. The day takes around 8 hours door to door, and the e-bike leg is easy-going, so no cycling experience or fitness level is required.
