Explore the steep vineyards with its typical stone terraces by bike, car or by foot. Along the way we’ll take in landmarks including the ruins of Aggstein Castle and the baroque gem of Stift Melk. We were looking for a way to experience life outside of Vienna during our visit, so we took a day to do the Wachau Valley Kick Bike Tour. Tobias was a wonderful guide, very friendly and knowledgeable and extremely accommodating as there was one person in our group with mobility issues. The Abbey was interesting and we loved Aggstein Castle! The kick biking was fun and different. Tobias was also very helpful with suggestions and ordering when we went to the butcher's in Melk (YUM!) and tried a variety of wines at a local vintner. He was also very patient and did not get frustrated when we experienced a longer wait than expected for the ferry to cross the Danube. Overall, very fun and interesting! Note that payment is cash only and be prepared for that.
