Meet a local guide to get an inside look at Vienna’s Christmas markets, and visit 3 of our favorite spots in the city’s alternative districts. Immerse yourself in the traditions of the Christmas season with hot punch with extra rum and Christmas biscuits to munch on along the way. The tour begins at a cozy market in front of the church. There you will meet your tour guide and receive your first sweet treat. When the group is ready, you will continue to the streets of the Spittelberg area. Watch out, this market is romantic and cozy, but we don’t want to lose you at the beginning, so follow your guide and yellow umbrella.
At Spittelberg we will have a second tasting point with savory and sweet delicacies. While our team prepares the table for the group, you will have 15-20 minutes of free time to stroll the streets and visit the market stalls. Spittelberg has many secrets and fun stories to offer, and once you’ve met them all, we’ll head to the municipal market in the MQ district, where the former royal stalls are now an artistic hotspot in the city.
The Christmas Market at the MQ follows this mood, with a modern concept and unusual artistic creations. At the MQ we will drink punch and mulled wine, if the group is motivated, also play some games and make a photo stop. Very nice tour with a lot of information about Vienna and its Christmas markets. The choice of markets was also good. The highlight is of course the Spittelberg Christmas market. Under Guide, Aldo led us through the markets really well and in a friendly way and I recommend it to everyone.

I really enjoyed the fact that we got to taste a range of traditional Viennese food at the markets. I like this as we found out what the food was, the history behind it and we got the chance to taste it before buying it ourselves, as I know myself if I Didnt know what something was if prob be afraid to buy it incase I didnt like it. This tour gave you the chance to taste a range of food included within the tour price which I though was fantastic. We got to explore the more unique and smaller markets and learn a bit about their history and christmas traditions.
