Meet a local guide for an inside look at Vienna’s Christmas markets, and visit three of our favorite spots in the city’s alternative districts. The tour begins at a cozy market in front of a church. There you’ll meet your tour guide and receive your first sweet treat. Once the group is ready, you’ll continue to the streets of the Spittelberg area. Watch out, this market is romantic and cozy, but we don’t want to lose you at the start, so follow your guide and their yellow umbrella.
At Spittelberg, you’ll have a second tasting point with savory and sweet delicacies. While our team sets the table for the group, you’ll have 15-20 minutes of free time to stroll the streets and browse the market stalls. Spittelberg has many secrets and fun stories to offer, and once you’ve heard them all, we’ll head to the municipal market at the MQ (MuseumsQuartier), where the former royal stalls are now one of the city’s artistic hotspots.
The Christmas Market at the MQ follows this mood, with a modern concept and unusual artistic creations. At the MQ, we’ll drink punch and mulled wine, and if the group is up for it, play some games and make a photo stop. The last stop of the tour is the Christmas Village at Maria-Theresien-Platz, where a final surprise is waiting for you. Interested?
